Harold Camping of the Family Radio Network has been urging Christians
to drop their church memberships, leave their congregations and simply
listen to him on the radio.
Camping has always had a rather strange eschatology. For example, he
proclaimed that the world would end in 1994.
According to his allegorical interpretation of Revelation, Satan is
now enthroned in the church bringing apostasy and ultimate judgment to
the churches.
For Camping, the Church Age is over. There is to be no worship, no
organization and no church officers. Meet in your homes, he says, and
that is all you need to do.
How should we think about this provocative teaching?

1 Timothy 2:3-6 ...God our Savior, who desires all
men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the
truth. For there is one God and one Mediator between
God and men, the Man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself
a ransom for all... |

People who guess the year, tend to turnout wrong, but as to home churches,
that where church services were originally held, in someone's house.
