Dear Archibishop Montalvo:
In the spirit of interfaith cooperation, we appeal for your support on a
pressing issue of concern. As you know, Mel Gibson’s soon-to-be-released film
“The Passion” has alarmed Christians and Jews because of scenes that reportedly
revive the canard of Jewish culpability for the crucifixion of Jesus.
For generations, the deicide slander forced unspeakable suffering on Jews and
nurtured a virulent anti-Semitism that would eventually result in the Holocaust.
After several decades during which Christians and Jews have worked together
diligently to transcend old prejudices and resentments, we must not allow our
important progress to be undermined by Mr. Gibson’s regression to darker times.
If left unchecked, this issue may drive a wedge between Christians and Jews.
Though the media has cast the controversy surrounding “The Passion” as a Jewish
issue, we hope you will agree that this distortion is equally problematic for
Christians. We therefore ask you, as the representative of His Holiness John
Paul II in the U.S., to join us in rejecting the film’s dangerous
misrepresentation of Christianity’s birth. Let us be unambiguously clear, there
is no room for religious defamation except in the dustbin of history.

A 14-page article about Mel Gibson's ''The Passion'' in the New Yorker magazine
concludes the director did just what he set out to do with the project about the
death of Jesus – ''make a movie taken straight from the Gospel.''
Veteran entertainment reporter Peter J. Boyer interviewed Gibson, saw the film
more than once and interviewed its staunchest critics – including Abraham Foxman
of the Anti-Defamation League.
''Gibson's 'Passion' is a literalist rendering of the Gospels' account of Jesus'
Passion, which makes it the ultimate Traditionalist expression,'' wrote Boyer in
the Sept. 15 edition of the magazine, on newsstands now.
To the charges of anti-Semitism, Foxman told the New Yorker he does not believe
either Gibson or the film is anti-Semitic. His fear, he said, is what viewers
will take away from the movie and how they will interpret it.
''The film can fuel, trigger, stimulate, induce, rationalize, legitimize
anti-Semitism,'' said Foxman. ''You know, the Gospels, if taken literally, can
be very damaging...." <END>
You know what Abe-- if the Gospels are accepted as true and read for what they
say instead of trying to sanitize them they accurately depict you Pharisees as
being:
1) Children of the Devil
2) Anti-Christs
3) Murderers of Jesus
4) The torturers and persecutors of 1st Century Christians
All faithfully detailed in these scriptures and archives:
Three Disciples/Apostles plainly state who is "culpable" for the death of Jesus:
The Apostle Paul says much in two Bible scriptures:
1 Thessalonians 2:14,15 (English-NIV):
14 For you, brothers, became imitators of God's churches in Judea,
which are in Christ Jesus: You suffered from your own countrymen the
same things those churches suffered from the Jews,
15 who killed the Lord Jesus and the prophets and also drove us out.
They displease God and are hostile to all men.
Notice the fine points made by the Apostle Paul in this little bit of
scripture!
He brought out in two verses:
1) " those churches suffered from the Jews" Those sweet harmless
little Jews were committing "hate crimes" against Christians!
2) "They displease God.." The Temple is still in ruins as a testament
to that fact! Undeniable wouldn't you say? And last BUT certainly not
least by any stretch of the imagination:
3) "They (Jews) are hostile to all men."
4) "the Jews, who killed the Lord Jesus"
Other Bible writers also say it was the Jews who killed Jesus:
The Apostle Peter testifies: "Men of Israel.. The God of Abraham and of Isaac
and Jacob, the God of our forefathers, has glorified his Servant, Jesus, whom
YOU, for your part, delivered and disowned before Pilate's face, when he had
decided to release him. Yes, YOU disowned that holy and righteous one, and YOU
asked for a man, a murderer, to be freely granted to YOU, whereas YOU killed the
Chief Agent of life. But God raised him up from the dead..." Acts 3: 12-15
Disciple Stephen testifies: "Which one of the prophets did your forefathers not
persecute? Yes, they killed those who made announcement in advance concerning
the coming of the righteous One, whose betrayers and murderers YOU have become."
Acts 7: 52 This was from the speech Stephen gave the Jews about all of their
transgressions just before he (Stephen) got stoned to death by Jews who could
not contradict what he was telling them. Jews have quite a Biblical record as
killing people or having them harassed by government when their sins, hypocrisy,
and evil are held up to their faces!

From the above passages we learn:
a) [T]here arose certain of the synagogue, which is called the synagogue

b) Stephen "spoke things they couldn't refute" as recorded with the words:

In closing- I have heard numerous "Right Wing" talk show hosts such as Michael
Savage (The Savage Nation), Bill O'Reilly (FOX News), Sean Hannity, Rush

"The Passion." What none of the aforementioned will tell you is that it is Jews
who are making trouble for Gibson. The talking heads prefer to tell people it is
just the left wingers and the "if it feels good do it crowd" rather than
truthfully placing the blame where it belongs thus proving Limbaugh ET AL still
cower and kneel before their Jewish Masters who would pull their plugs if they
were disobedient to their Real Masters! (Has anyone ever heard Limbaugh ET AL
ever say one thing critical about Jews or Israel? Everyone else is open to
criticism and scrutiny except Jews who are the primary enemies of Christianity

the flack Mel Gibson is getting regarding his upcoming film is from liberals and
the "if it feels good do it crowd" which is not really true. I heard Michael
Savage of The Savage Nation being interviewed by FoxNEWS Bill O'Reilly not more
than a week and a half ago and those claims were made regarding the people who
are pressuring Mel Gibson.
Mel Gibson is being mainly attacked by the Anti-Defamation League (ADL)
of B'nai Brith and the Simon Wiesenthal Center among the other obvious Jewish
special interest groups.
Why are all of you afraid of laying the blame where it rightfully
belongs? Why do each and everyone of you call people "Nazis" and/or
"anti-semites" if they say one thing critical of Jews or Israel? Everyone else
seems to be open to scrutiny and criticism so why are Jews and what they do
sacrosanct?
I know each and every one of you fears to the marrow of your bones you
will be taken off the air if you upset the special interests of Jews which
should tell you all who is really calling the shots!

Just last night (September 22, 2003) I heard Sean Hannity interviewing David
Limbaugh (Rush's brother) about his new book regarding the "liberal's attacks on
Christianity" and not one single word was mentioned about who the real
anti-Christs are! No one will ever hear any of the above ever mention lone thing
critical of ADL, B'nai Brith, Israel, or Jews in general. The Radio Show Talking
Heads will act just like the liberals and they will call anyone critical of
Jewish anti-Christism/Zionaism "Nazis" or "anti-Semites" whereas they are
content to defend the very people who are attacking Christianity! When will the
useful idiots ever learn!? I have e-mailed that group before and have yet to
ever receive a reply and one question that they and the prostitutes of Babylon
(televangelists like Pat Robertson and Jerry Falwell) won't answer is: If
Israel, namely Jerusalem is the birthplace of Christianity and if Christians
outnumber Jews thousands of times to one then why isn't Christianity a dominant

Christ). "When He comes, He will tell us all things."
