God is the Love
But God's love does not hinder us to study God's word
Some people have a sort love and fellowship that does not endure the
light of God's word. When we mention something about churches and
denominations, and compare with what the Bible teaches about the
Assembly of God, then a remarkable phenomenon appears. Many
become afraid and nervous and point out that we shall love the
assembly and not judge and criticize. But what is it that they
comprehend as criticism? It is God's word!
"But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship
with one another, and the blood of His Son Jesus Christ cleanses us
from all sin." 1 John 1:7. Most of them who profess they are Christians
do not walk in the light. They are walking in the spiritual darkness of
the church, and are averse to light. As soon as someone mentions
something about churches and associations, and compares with what
the Bible teaches about the Assembly of God, then this false love
appears.
When we want to study what, the Bible teaches about the Assembly
of God, then they say that we judge and criticize. What sort of love and
fellowship is it that wants to hinder us to study God's word? Instead to
being eager to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace, as in
Eph. 4:3, they want to maintain the disunion and hold us Christians
bound to churches and denominations. They defend churches and
denominations and condemn the truth. What does this have to do with
the love of Christ? God is love, but God's love does not hinder us to
study God's word.
Have you indeed struggled in prayer before the Lord to get the
knowledge of the truth about the Assembly of God? This has been my
continuous prayer request for more than 40 years. What I have written
about churches and denominations and about the Assembly of God, it
is a study of the Bible and answer to prayers, and not criticism.
Only the love to God's word can break down party walls and overcome
a conflict of opinion between us as Christians. Those who do not love
God's word, they neither love Jesus, for he is God's word. John 1:1-14.
Rev. 19:13.
"Love patiently endures, is kind; love is not envious; love boasts not
itself, is not puffed up; does not behave unbecomingly, does not seek
the things of itself, is not easily provoked, does not impute evil; does
not rejoice over unrighteousness, but rejoices in the truth."
1 Cor. 13:4-6.
The false love of the great whore is on the contrary. In the harlot-love,
there are impatience, contrariness and enviousness. The harlot-love is
impolite and self-seeking. It keeps watch of its own church, its own
denomination. And it is an obstacle for the rising and the edification
of the Body of Christ. The harlot-love is suspicious and has a grudge
against supposed injuries. It does not rejoice in the truth, but in
unrighteousness it suppresses the truth and demand that people shall
follow church traditions instead of obeying God's word.
If we must keep silent with some bible truths "for the sake of love"
and for not to disturb the fellowship, then it is not any Christian
fellowship. The Christian fellowship becomes stronger the more
radical God's words are preached.
