|
|
Can we live forever? Can we be forever young and healthy? Is there
a fountain of youth? So far science and medical research has failed
to stop the aging process and death.
Yet there is hope, but this hope in not in man but is what God has
promised. Please take the
time to ponder the following inspirational words and you will see
there is something to hope for beyond this life and the grave.
John.4
[7] There cometh a woman of Samaria to draw water: Jesus saith unto
her, Give me to drink.
[9] Then saith the woman of Samaria unto him, How is it that thou,
being a Jew, askest drink of me, which am a woman of Samaria? for the
Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans.
[10] Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of
God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou
wouldest
have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.
[13] Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this
water shall thirst again:
[14] But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall
never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a
well of water springing up into everlasting life.
1Cor.15
[[51] Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we
shall all be changed,
[52] In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for
the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible,
and we shall be changed.
[53] For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal
must put on immortality.
[54] So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and
this
mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass
the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.
[55] O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?
[56] The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.
[57] But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our
Lord Jesus Christ.
[58] Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable,
always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that
your labour is not in vain in the Lord.
Matt.19
[16] And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good
thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?
John.3
[16] For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son,
that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have
everlasting life.
John.5
[39] Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal
life: and they are they which testify of me. - Jesus
John.6
[68] Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou
hast the words of eternal life.
John.10
[28] And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish,
neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
John.12
[25] He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his
life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal.
John.17
[2] As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give
eternal life to as many as thou hast given him.
[3] And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true
God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.
Acts.13
[48] And when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad, and glorified
the word of the Lord: and as many as were ordained to eternal life
believed.
Rom.5
[21] That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign
through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.
Rom.6
[23] For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal
life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
2Cor.4
[17] For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for
us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;
[18] While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the
things
which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but
the things which are not seen are eternal.
2Cor.5
[1] For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were
dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands,
eternal in the heavens.
1Tim.1
[17] Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise
God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen.
2Tim.2
[10] Therefore I endure all things for the elect's sakes, that they
may also obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal
glory.
Tit.3
[7] That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs
according to the hope of eternal life.
Heb.5
[9] And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation
unto all them that obey him;
Heb.9
[12] Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood
he
entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal
redemption for us.
[14] How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal
Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience
from
dead works to serve the living God?
[15] And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that
by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were
under the first testament, they which are called might receive the
promise of eternal inheritance.
1John.1
[2] (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear
witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the
Father, and was manifested unto us;)
1John.2
[25] And this is the promise that he hath promised us, even eternal
life.
1John.3
[15] Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no
murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.
1John.5
[11] And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life,
and this life is in his Son.
[13] These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of
the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that
ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.
[20] And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an
understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him
that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and
eternal life.
Rev.7
[17] For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed
them,
and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall
wipe away all tears from their eyes.
Rev.21
[4] And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there
shall
be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be
any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
Heb.6
[17] Wherein God, willing more abundantly to shew unto the heirs of
promise the immutability of his counsel, confirmed it by an oath:
[18] That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God
to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge
to lay hold upon the hope set before us:
[19] Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and
stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil;
John.10
[1] Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door
into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a
thief and a robber.
[2] But he that entereth in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep.
[7] Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you,
I am the door of the sheep.
[9] I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and
shall go in and out, and find pasture.
1Thes.4
[13] But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning
them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have
no hope.
[14] For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them
also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.
[15] For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which
are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent
them which are asleep.
[16] For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout,
with
the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead
in
Christ shall rise first:
[17] Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together
with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we
ever be with the Lord.
[18] Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

I've found the Pearl of greatest price,
My heart doth sing for joy;
And sing I must, for Christ is mine;
Christ shall my song employ.
Christ is my Prophet, Priest and King;
A Prophet full of light,
My great High Priest before the throne,
My King of heav'nly might.
For He indeed is Lord of lords,
And He the King of kings;
He is the Sun of righteousness,
With healing in His wings.
Christ is my Peace; He died for me,
For me He gave His blood;
And as my wondrous Sacrifice,
Offered Himself to God.
Christ Jesus is my All in all,
My Comfort and my Love,
My Life below, and He shall be
My Joy and Crown above.
