if this sinner went to sleep without " making a decision for Christ"
or without " accepting Jesus as his Lord and Savior " and died during
the night, he has lost his only chance to be saved since he did not
fill all the conditions placed on him by Fundamentalists.
grace " freely bestowed " as in Eph. 1:3-12 is but a blunder on the
Apostle Paul's part to say that one does not gain forgiveness of sins
by unmerited favor... which is tantamount to calling the Holy Spirit a
liar.
one must gain salvation by merited favor, not unmerited favor, by
filling conditions. some of these conditions are making a patented
sinner's prayer designed by those who preach grace has to be earned.
another favorite condition to fill is an " altar call " where one
can make a public display of himself after being psyched up by a fast
taking preacher telling his crowd that " God loves you and has a
perfect plan " for your life if you will only let Him in. this is the
opposite of Ps. 5:4-6 so Fundamentalism concocted Dispensationalism so
as to pacify those who already give feigned obedience to God.
one such word picture these preacher's offer is that man is in a
dark room groping for the light switch... turning it on brings the
light of Christ into his darkened soul.
this idea reflects perfectly that man works for salvation.
the Holy Scriptures, on the other hand, insist that man does not
seek for God ( Ro. 3:10 ff ) ... so the man in the dark room will sit
where he is and not look for the light switch because " the light is
come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the light;
for their deeds were evil. " Jn. 3:19.
if the light ever goes on for him it will be because he is appointed
to life and then believes just as we read in Acts 13:48 and in Jn.
3:3.
why place conditions on grace " freely bestowed " except to have a
boast in saying " I was the one who did it ? " why place conditions
on grace " freely bestowed " except to fill the treasury with generous
offerings with the message preached to " itching ears " from " itching
ears ? "
why place conditions on grace " freely bestowed " except to call God
