Dear brethren,
is the good Lord omni-potent?
If God is omni-potent (=all powerful), can He then create a stone which is
so heavy that He Himself cannot lift it up?
If we answer yes, He can, then we must ask ourselves why after creating this
stone, since He is almighty, He cannot lift it up.
If we answer no, then have we've proven to ourselves that God is not
almighty?
What is your answer?
in Christ victorious

A more accurate definition of omnipotent is that He can
do whatever He wants to do.
Another characteristic of God is that he does not work
at cross-purposes with Himself. "God is not a man,
that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he
should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or
hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?" (Num.
23:19)

No, if we answer yes, then we must ask ourselves why
this God who can do whatever He wants, wants and
not-wants the same thing?

No, if we answer no, it's because not-being-stupid is
another characteristic of God. |
