It is not the sentiments of M. Arnauld that are heretical; it is only his
person. This is a personal heresy. He is not a heretic for anything that
he has said or written, but simply because he is M. Arnauld. This is all
they have to say against him. p. 357
.... just in proportion as Christian truths are worthy of love and respect,
the contrary errors must deserve hatred and contempt. ... Do not then
expect, fathers, to make people believe that it is unworthy of a Christian
to treat error with derision. Nothing is easier than to convince all who
are not aware of it before, that this practice is perfectly just - that it
is common with the fathers of the Church, and that it is sanctioned by
Scripture, by the example of the best of saints, and even by that of God
himself. pp 468-469
.... ridicule is, in some cases, a very appropriate means of reclaiming men
from their errors ... it is accordingly an act of justice, because, as
Jeremiah says, "the actions of those who err are worthy of derision, because
of their vanity ..." Andso far from its being impious to laugh at them, St.
Augustine holds it to be the effect of divine wisdom" "The wise laugh at the

divine wisdom which shall laugh at the death of the wicked." pp. 469-470
Tertullian ... [quotes] ..." ... There are many things which deserve to be

we should attach a weight to them which they do not deserve. ... it is the
Truth properly that has a right to laugh, because she is cheerful, and to
make sport of her enemies, because she is sure of the victory. ... when
ridicule may be employed with effect, it is our duty to avail ourselves of
it." p. 471

renounce them ..." p. 472

WASHINGTON – Unemployment claims, already well into recession territory,
are rising even faster than expected, leading economists to warn
Thursday that the worst is yet to come.
As the Labor Department released bleak new numbers on the job market,
Goldman Sachs, Chrysler and Xerox all announced they were cutting
workers by the thousands, adding to the woes of an economy beset by
tighter credit and wobbly banks.
The government said new applications for unemployment insurance rose
15,000 last week to a seasonally adjusted 478,000, above analysts'
estimates of 470,000. Jobless claims above 400,000 are considered a sign
of recession.
[end quote]
Note:
"The impact of job losses is rippling through the economy. As jobs
disappear, foreclosures rise ..."
What many seem hesitant to do, is look for the root cause of the job
losses. It is foolish to blame job losses on mortgage foreclosures --
since the mortgage default does not occur until after the job loss.
There must be a cause for the job losses other that the credit slump
caused by the subprime failures, since the subprime failure was cause by
people being unable to make their payments because they had lost their jobs.
What many refuse to consider, is that the contraction, or reduction, of
manufacturing jobs began as an adjustment due to concerns over the
availability of fossil fuel. Experts in industry have been aware of the
limits reached in the Oil Cartel's ability to increase the production
and supply of fuel. Industry and Manufacturing are completely dependent
on the supply of fossil fuel. If the production and supply of fossil
fuel can not increase, then industry and manufacturing can not grow. The
result is that both the supply of fuel and the supply of goods does not
meet the demand, and company's begin to cut production, and jobs.

Yet once again you have demonstrated yourself to be a liar.
The OP [reposted below] is an article including the title, "JOB LOSSES
ACCELERATING, AND THE WORST IS AHEAD" written By CHRISTOPHER S. RUGABER,
AP Economics Writer
Yet you, ®andy, clip the post down to the title to make it look like
that title somehow reflects my political position, and ignore that the
information in the post is from the government, which is presently lead
by the Republican Party and guess who? My /political/ POV has nothing to
do with the contents of the article, its title, OR the comments I made.
The question, Randy, is why you engage in dishonesty to make a false

JOB LOSSES ACCELERATING, AND THE WORST IS AHEAD
By CHRISTOPHER S. RUGABER, AP Economics Writer Christopher S. Rugaber,
– 1 hr 29 mins ago Thu 23 Oct 2008 15:56:13 PDT
The White House, in unusually stark language, acknowledged the economy
is going through what spokeswoman Dana Perino called a "rough ride."
"We expect our GDP (gross domestic product) number next week not to be a
good one and the next quarter to be tough as well," Perino said.
The Commerce Department will release its first estimate of third-quarter
economic performance Oct. 30, and Wall Street analysts project it will
show the economy contracted by 0.5 percent, according to Thomson/IFR.
Many economists expect the decline to continue into the current quarter
and the first three months of 2009, if not longer. The classic
definition of a recession is at least two consecutive quarters of
negative growth.
Former Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan, testifying before a
House committee, said he could not see "how we can avoid a significant
rise in layoffs and unemployment."
Zach Pandl, an economist at Barclays Capital, estimates that
unemployment will rise to between 7 percent and 8 percent by early next
year. Other economists have estimated it could rise to 8.5 percent.
Currently, the unemployment rate is 6.1 percent. Unemployment peaked at
6.3 percent in 2003 after the brief recession of 2001. It peaked at 7.8
percent in the 1991-92 recession, and above 10 percent in 1982.
The Goldman Sachs Group Inc. said it would cut about 3,260 jobs, or 10
percent of its work force, in the face of what Greenspan called a "once
in a century credit tsunami" that has claimed several of Goldman's rival
investment banks.
Also on Thursday, Chrysler LLC said it would cut 1,825 jobs and Xerox
Corp. said it plans to eliminate 3,000 positions, or 5 percent of its
work force.
Other companies have announced reductions this week: Yahoo Inc. is
cutting 10 percent of its employees, or 1,500 people, drugmaker Merck &
Co. is eliminating 7,200 positions, and financial services firm National
City Corp. will shed 4,000 jobs.
The impact of the job losses is rippling through the economy. As jobs
disappear, foreclosures rise when out-of-work homeowners can no longer
make mortgage payments.
[Article continues]
Associated Press writers Martin Crutsinger in Washington and Tim Paradis
in New York contributed to this report.

Note:
"The impact of job losses is rippling through the economy. As jobs

What many seem hesitant to do, is look for the root cause of the job

and supply of fuel. Industry and Manufacturing are completely dependent
on the supply of fossil fuel. If the production and supply of fossil
fuel can not increase, then industry and manufacturing can not grow. The
result is that both the supply of fuel and the supply of goods does not
meet the demand, and companies begin to cut production, and jobs.
In a few words, "We are past Peak Oil."
Here is the reality.

You'd make a good democrat.

Your statement there doesn't change the fact that you'd make a
good democrat, since like you, they depend on people being
scared of the future, to make room for their political agenda.

Christ died for our sins, and God raised Him from the dead.
Rely on this work alone to escape hell and receive eternal
life (Jn. 3:16; 1 Cor. 15:1-3; Eph. 2:8-10; 2 Thess. 1:8-9).
We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself
up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every
thought to make it obedient to Christ. †2 Corinthians 10:5 |

The width and breadth of your political ignorance is staggering,
exceeded only by the depth of your theological delusions.
