Christ gave the key
to the interpretation of Scripture,
and the Protestant movement began.
The Scriptures could be understood
and were published to the world.
But now that key is hardly known,
and the Scriptures are being interpreted
in different ways by different churches
and by people in general.
Christ showed the world
how all Scripture is to be interpreted:
that it is to be seen thru him,
Christ our righteousness.
As Jesus had foretold,
he showed the world about his righteousness:
Of righteousness, because I go to my Father,
and ye see me no more; (John 16:10 KJV)
He showed one theologian from Scripture
that Christ rather than us in any way
is our entire righteousness for salvation,
and the Protestant movement began.
Those who know that Christ
is all their righteousness for salvation,
their righteous Substitute,
place all their trust in him alone for salvation
so that they have eternal life.
They are able to repent and surrender,
be baptized and take the sacrament,
attend church and serve and give,
without trusting those to save them
because Christ rather than them
is all their righteousness for salvation.
