Koinonia fellowship e-mail group
Hello and May God bless you!
This is an invitation to those who may have and who may not have found
a satisfying Christian experience in a local church. This is the
announcement of a no solicitation, non-profit email ring for Christian
believers seeking to communicate with each other concerning their
Christian experience and to share comments on Bible study topics with
other members of the group. Man cannot serve two masters, God and
mammon (money,) so, any attempt to commercialize this effort in any
way will be resisted. It only requires your prayerful participation.
In many ways, the modern, denominational church is far removed from
the example given to us by God for the fellowship of believers. It
has become over-commercialized and too entangled with the things of
the world. Churches are often more concerned with building and
growing, at an ever-rising cost to members, than with the fulfillment
of the Great Commission - to preach and teach the Gospel throughout
the world. The early New Testament Church was more of a small
fellowship of believers meeting at each others homes to share the joy,
their experiences and their love for the Lord Jesus Christ and for
each other. If you seek that, then this email group may be the
beginning of something that is very good for all of us.
This idea for a group could later become a newsgroup, a web site or
the beginning or the formation of many small, local meeting groups,
but initially the form is to have an email address where you can send
comments or questions about your Christian experience, how it is or is
not in conformity with the New Testament examples of Christian
fellowships and how groups of believers around the world can meet
together and return to the example of the early Church in their
activities, discussions, fellowships and meetings. Your mail will be
forwarded to others who may respond to you personally or as a forward
to the group, so I would suggest that you set up a new email address,
such as a web-based address with good spam protection, so that you may
retain your privacy and deal with any unwanted or unwelcome mail that
could sneak in as it sometime does. As the group develops, the
forward list will become larger and a digest of received mails will
probably be forwarded regularly to all those who respond.
The email address is koinonia379@yahoo.com
All spam and unsolicited advertising will be reported promptly. Pray
that spambots are miraculously defeated from successfully using this
address. Thank you and May God bless us all according to His will as
we pray for the peace of Jerusalem and for His soon and triumphant
return. |
