How'd your Lammas go?

Mine went very well - I spent it with my mother's healing grove then tried
to go up the mountain for a little ritual (by this time it was 11pm) and got
chased back down again by some mad underfed farm dog:-)

TD/Dafydd.

Deborah and I spent Lughnasadh at our home with cats and spirits
honoring the recent dead in our family under the Full Moon of the
Mississippi Gulf Coast. We also spent some time helping others work out
some of life's problems.

Unfortunately it has been totally dominated by me completing a herbal.
Writing books can be like being on a treadmill. Mind you, only a few days of
work left! I should get my life back soon! :-)

TD/Dafydd.

Mine went well - got wed my beloved (did the legal thing on the 31st),
had a party which didn't quite go as planned as my wife's best friend
who was to do the hand-fasting had been having migraine's since a
minor car-crash.

But we had a suprise in being offered a place to honeymoon in
Falmouth. So we had a lovely time re-visiting places from my
childhood and plighting our troth down at Zennor between Sea, Land and
Sky.

The last afternoon of our honeymoon we discovered that my wife's best
friend had died from a brain tumour.

However the synchronisity of time and place surprised us, as ever:

Her friend would not have wanted to ruin our time.
Her friend would not have gone unless her son (a mere 16) and friends
were settled after several years of hard times.
Her friend lived in Birmingham (and hated it) and loved Cornwall.

We managed to go and visit Boscastle and Tintagel, her favourite
places as she would often visit an artist friend nr Boscastle. At the
Arthurian re-enactment we managed to buy a fantastic Viking style
chair.

So, once I've done the runework, this chair is dedicated to Jo the
Brummy Valkyrie.

Cheers, Dave.

Congratulations on formalizing your relationship!

She seems to have embraced life and death on her own terms. My
congratulations to her as well. May she live again in a body more worthy
of her spirit. My condolences to you and your wife as well as the
families and friends who knew her. May they dream about her and be
visited by a smile of remembrance.

Thanks Searles it reminds me of her friend, a respected pagan, who we
met who said
"I realised I was not weeping for her but for myself. She's in the
Otherworld but I shall miss her."

Cheers, Dave.
