Pretty tall order.
Davis in a lot of ways deserves the recall. He's alienated most of the
Democratic power brokers in the state, plus a lot of his core constituency
due to his personality deficits and his unbridled quest for power. Take
for
example his obnoxious ads against Feinstein, he likened her to a rich
bitch
with no connection to the people. Most Californicators don't seem to care
that he really isn't to blame for the current bleeding budget and the
deregulation of the energy industry there.

He has exacerbated the problem. It is probably a bad precedent, but I
honestly feel Davis has proven incompetent and a whore of special interests.
Ironically, we may up with Bustamante, a man who believes Cali should be a
part of Mexico.

One of the great quotes from the movie actually comes from Sophocles:
"Alas - how terrible is wisdom when it brings no profit to the wise?"
-Sophocles, Oedipus Rex
He turns out to be the guy who gets his heart ripped out?
No, he was doing the ripping; Edward Kelley and all.

I snagged this from the video store last thursday. Great film! Thanks for
the heads-up on that.
