The rain softly touched the forest of innocent vitality. The beautiful
scenery appeared deeper in silence where existence meandered on a
sacred path of peace and tranquillity. In the cosmic ocean, waves of
matters have been impermanently created in different forms, and when
destroyed, all forms return to the emptiness of silence. Meditative
living is sustaining an empty mind of attentive observation, in which
state, one is the Universe.

My Dear Julian,
The Buddha, with his monks, did beg for food/money everyday (on
regular schedule) in order to survive upon teaching his Dharma to the
World...
It's only natural, isn't it?!?
So, please go back and study the history of the Buddha and remove the
dust of your ignorance, so at least, you yourself may benefit from
it...

The Buddha, with his monks, did beg for food/money everyday (on

It's only natural, isn't it?!?
Your OPINION has been noted
along with the total lack of evidence to back it up..
So, please go back and study the history of the Buddha and remove the
dust of your ignorance, so at least, you yourself may benefit from
it...
"Although the Vinaya specifies a prohibition on accepting and handling
gold and silver, the real spirit of it is to forbid use and control over
funds, whether these are bank notes or credit cards. The Vinaya even
prohibits a monk from having someone else receive money on his behalf.
In practical terms, monasteries are financially controlled by lay
stewards, who then make open invitation for the Sangha to ask for what
they need, under the direction of the Abbot. A junior monk even has to
ask an appointed agent (generally a senior monk or Abbot) if he may take
up the stewards' offer to pay for dental treatment or obtain medicines,
for example. This means that as far as is reasonably possible, the
donations that are given to the stewards to support the Sangha are not
wasted on unnecessary whims.
If a layperson wishes to give something to a particular monk, but is
uncertain what he needs, he should make an invitation. Any financial
donations should not be to a monk but to the stewards of the monastery,
perhaps mentioning if it's for a particular item or for the needs of a
certain monk. For items such as travelling expenses, money can be given
to an accompanying anagarika (dressed in white) or accompanying
layperson, who can then buy tickets, drinks for a journey or anything
else that the monk may need at that time. It is quite a good exercise in
mindfulness for a layperson to actually consider what items are
necessary and offer those rather than money."

My dear Julian,
You're being "too innocent" to follow the human rules in the world of
religions...
The Buddha never did make such rules...even his own Dharma was said to
be temporary, impermanent, not really true Dharma (in his words)!
So, how could human rules remain to be true in the world of Buddhism
(compared to the Buddha's Dharma)?!?
Only if you're "ignorant" enough to follow such rules...
Peace,
Rexsy |

|
I note your abject failure to provide any evidence whatsoever
to backup your claim that...
"The Buddha, with his monks, did beg for food/money everyday (on
regular schedule) in order to survive upon teaching his Dharma to the
World..." |

The rain softly touched the forest of innocent vitality. The beautiful
scenery appeared deeper in silence where existence meandered on a
sacred path of peace and tranquillity. In the cosmic ocean, waves of
matters have been impermanently created in different forms, and when
destroyed, all forms return to the emptiness of silence. Meditative
living is sustaining an empty mind of attentive observation, in which
state, one is the Universe.

you seem to be reactive to this accusation of Julian.
Rather than answer the charge specificially, you tell him to basically
"bug off."
would you say that Julian has disturbed your equanimity and universal love?
If so, it is too easily shaken.
Perhaps you have created a veneer of love that is holding down some
other less pleasant emotions?
If so you should take a look at that.

Movement and Stillness are One...
The night remained utterly silent in dark beauty, where all things
meditated deeply into the soft moonlight of sacred divinity...
Fascinating!
