I had to update to 7 so I could use the software with my new cellphone and I
noticed that the pages are taking a long time to load. It is the same
broadband connection so is ie7 slower and/or does it use more resources
which then slow down my pc?

It eats a lot of resources and thre are MSFT programs that would not open
under it.
I switched to FireFox because of it. I onlu use IE7 for some automated
stuff.

Did you create a restore point? Honestly, I've read more negatives

about I.E. 7 than positive. In a positive vein, Microsoft does have a
web page called "Internet Explorer 7 Solution Center," but its very
existence indicate there are problems.

I'm in no rush to upgrade, to I.E. 7 or Vista. Maybe when it becomes
absolutely necessary, but not before.

I did not want to upgrade to 7 after my son did it and had problems but I
wanted to use a service with my phone that requires ie 7. After all this I
am not sure the service is worth it and I might roll the whole thing back to
ie 6 tomorrow.

I upgraded to IE7 a while back. My primary has been Fire Fox since IE5.
There are a couple programs that have problems with FF, but few and far
between.

I can understand why you did it. New-fangled contraptions can be

I am taking this phone back tomorrow and getting something else. I really
don't need all this stuff on my phone, I just want to make phone calls and
check my email.

And yes, the break is wonderful.

I'm sure they'll hook you up to a phone with the features you want and a

basic data plan. Back in July-August, I went through the same decision
making process. First a Moto Q 9c, next the LG Dare, and then the AT&T
Tilt. Even considered the new iPhone. Anyway, after all this, I
settled for a simple flip-phone without a data plan. For now, it's all
I need.

McCain to win and everything will be dandy LOL.

It's closer than the pundits think. Gallup and Rasmussen yesterday had

it 49-47 and 50-47 for Obama, so well within the margin of error.
There's a black lady I know of (a Christian, supposedly), going around
her job, waving an Obama T-shirt, and boldly proclaiming, "It's our
time!" She was queried, "Who's it time for, Democrats?" Her answer was
somewhat vague...something about the last 400 years and backs of buses?
No, nothing racial about this election! (Oh, and congratulations with
your cell-service, I.E., and Phillies!)

I can understand why black people are voting for Obama, it is the same

reasoning that caused many of them to be filled with joy when OJ was found
not guilty. I can't fault them as I do not know how it is to live as a
minority in a society.

I am going to stay far away from Philly for the next week. Last night they
overturned cars, broke windows and started fires to celebrate the Phillies
victory. Friday is the parade so it will kick off a 3 day weekend and
Tuesday is election day.

Well, if anyone thinks that this election is not about race, does not

know about Obama's speech from March 18, 2008...
