but as a learned friend pointed out, some people have used their software
to
filter out messages from certain people, also some newsgroups block
spammers
and abusive posters. If you cannot see the posts from Ajay and Quincy,
don't
blame me.
If it is the newsgroup that has blocked the posts, please tell me which
one.
It is an example that other groups should follow.
I DON'T have either of them blocked, but I am seeing posts with only your |
words in them. Specifically, when you referred to handbags at dawn, you had
deleted ALL of the previous posts.

Not me. It is not possible for me to delete posts (except of course what
appears on my own computer). Which newsgroup are you viewing things in?
To summarise, it all went something like this: Quincy posted to newsgroups
A, B, C, and D. I saw the post in newsgroup A, but the admin in newsgroup
D
(I think) deleted his post. When you reply to a post it goes by default to
the same newsgroups as the original post. In newsgroups A, B and C it
started something like:
Quincy: I hate Catholics.
Me: That's silly.
Arjay: You're mad. What's silly?
If it was indeed the newsgroup that deleted or blocked posts, it is an
example that other groups should follow. Arjay, however, had personally
filtered out Quincy from what he opted to see and he blamed me for his
confusion, getting rather abusive.
If you really want to see some of the posts, I saw it in
uk.education.teachers. If you go there now you'll only see the most recent
posts.
David, I'm sorry, but you really are misunderstanding what I meant about |
deleting the posts. I didn't mean you had removed the actual posts from the
newsgroup, but rather that you had deleted Quincy's words from your own post
when replying. If you look above these words that I have written, you will
see what you have written is still there. This is how people can follow the
thread of the conversation. Because some people have blocked Quincy, they
could not see his post, and as you changed the header and deleted his words
in your reply, they had no idea what you were replying to.

If you really want to see Quincy's post, he posted again on Tuesday. If you
remove your filter you should be able to see it.
I will not repeat what he said.
Cheers. |

Good grief! You have done it again! WHO is this posted to????? You have |
removed the body of the previous post, which would otheriwse appear in the
post you have placed! Are you doing this deliberately, or are you really
that daft?
