May I please share a brief thought? Let's read
James 1:5-8, "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask
God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and
it will be given to him. But let him ask in faith, with no
doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven
and tossed by the wind. For let not that man suppose that
he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-
minded man, unstable in all his ways.(NKJV)" There are
indeed many ways in which many individual professing
Christians could be described as double-minded, but
one in particular leaps to mind. We cannot seem to decide
if we love this world, or do we love God more. We say we
love God. We say we long for righteousness. We go to
church on Sundays. We read our bibles. But we also
seem to love the entertainments and pleasures of this
world just about as much as anyone else does. Sure,
we may eliminate the worst that the world has to offer
from our lives, but we still seem to have much more
interest in the world than we do in the Lord. It is really
simple. Do you spend more time with hobbies and
entertainments of the world, or do you spend more time
with God? Where your time is spent is where your heart
is at.

Well, Joe, the quick reply is when do you work and when do you sleep?
I agree that we could all spend more time devoted to God and in that you
are correct. |
