JW "explained" to me part of the reason why he was here when I accepted his
invitation to join this group.
Something quite obvious just now hit me.
Probably 80% or more of the non arcb posts addressed to him are in direct
relation to his claims. He says something like "In the 90's the book of
Mormon changed a word in their book." and everybody researches based on his
claim and shows he is wrong, or right in one incidence.
Usually his insults are ignored or laughed at.
Here he is far more likely to be attacked personally for his behavior and
people respond far more often to his insults.
Yet he claimed he feels safer here.
Interesting.
Nothing wrong with being a masochist.
On the other hand maybe he does not want people to see how his brand of
Christianity works. A wise move. |

Well lately JW has joined with Chuck and Vera on ACC. That means
agree with everything they say or you are going to Hell. Vera says
she is the "Right hand of God" also has the Gift of Discernment and
Chuck is the Spin master. They both use deception if not all and all
lies.
My suggestion is to killfile all 3.

Even funnier, have you noticed in his primary thread, enough people have
asked, now there seems to be a required number of people to enable him to
print out his fantasies. Of course people that have been in command of
others realize that it is nothing but an attempt to indicate his
superiority over others. Others must request him to provide information
that he can't wait to provide under normal circumstances. Normal for him
that is.
People that comprehend personal honor would never have to be asked to
back up their claims, and the majority cases it would be automatic. In a
more obvious cases, such as when dealing with people like Jonny, on
request.
walksalone who is temporarily off to more trivial and satisfying
pursuits.
Step one: Post off topic. Show total disregard for the purpose of the
comments section. Better still, post the exact same thing in the
comments section of several totally unrelated articles.
Step two: Make sure you give a gloss of politeness to your post.
Step three: Be sure not to actually read anything on the site, just
launch your attack. Do not seek answers, and do not question your own
position. You already know you're right; either of the above would
merely be matching wits with the Devil!
Step four: When you get a response, make sure you point out how
puzzled you are that they are not yet totally convinced. Be sure to
ask "why so much anger". Point out the character flaws which are
surely the cause of their incredulity. Do not engage any of the
points
raised, do not under any circumstances enter into real dialogue; then
repeat your original post as if nothing else has yet been added to
the
discussion.
Step five: If asked a direct question, ignore it. Accuse everyone
else
of not answering your questions.
Step six: If they are still not convinced, repeat steps four and
five.
Step seven: If anyone calls you up on any of our incoherence, poor
reasoning, dishonesty or blatant lies; ignore step two. Be sure to
whip yourself up into a self-righteous frenzy, bemoan the fact that
all you want is an honest discussion, to share opinions. Tell them
how much God loves them. Tell them they'll spend an eternity in Hell.
Step eight: Leave, never to be heard from again, shaking the
metaphorical dust from your metaphorical sandals as you go.

20 below zero is not unusual for the winter.

You're so full of baloney. Here's what the truth is about Washington
DC's weather:
"The highest recorded temperature was 106 °F on July 20, 1930 and
August 6, 1918. Summers tend to be hot and humid, with daily high
temperatures in July and August averaging in the high 80s °F. The
lowest recorded temperature was -15 °F (-26.1 °C) on February 11,
1899, during the Great Blizzard of 1899. Average winter lows tend to
be around 30 °F from mid-December to mid-February. The city averages
36.7 days hotter than 90 °F, and only 64.4 nights below freezing."

Well he was just kidding and you can't understand simple things and what he
meant was that on July 20, 1930 and August 6, 1918, had it been a few
degrees hotter it would not have been unusual for it to be *near* 110 on
those days and besides why are you always saying it is not a rose?

Because they're actually peonies and it's 125 degrees outside in
Seattle right now. |

That is not true. I am in arcb.
If posts from acc wander into arcb when someone cross-posts, I'll
respond if I wish to, and not be concerned with where the post
originated. If it's cross-posted, it's cross-posted. I didn't
originate the cross-posting; I'm merely responding to it.
So, Matt, you of good heart and kind soul, right out of the start
gate, you falsely accuse me.
If so I apologize.
|
It is so, and I accept your apology. The ONLY "team" I am on, is --
hopefully-- God's team.
Where Vera and I agree/ and where Chuck and I agree, on doctrine, on
theology, and on dogma, then... fine! "We're on the same team."
When you see me being silent (and you falsely assume I'm in 100 %
agreement with one or the other), it's MANY times that I do NOT agree,
but
1 I have many other things to deal with at the moment (most of the
time), like my writing, my photography, looking for "supplemental"
income
2 I prefer to not get into the "gory and gritty" any more than I can
help.
For some reason, it seems like the best way to KILL a conversation is
for me to get into it.
Seems no matter what the topic, if there are 20 people discussing it,
I can jump in, say my 10 words, and SUDDENLY, "KA - BOOOOOOOOM!" the
conversation suddenly turns to / ON ME!
That is NOT my intent, so I stay OUT of more discussions than I join.
Very purposefully
3. I do not wish to attack people in PUBLIC even if I disagree.
So I don't comment MUCH. Much less than I would normally (say, in the
hallway of my building, or on the public street)
I am VERY aware that any time I add my 2 cents to a discussion, it's
VERY likely that the discussion will end "on a dime" right there, and
EVERYONE will be climbing my back.
| Quote: |
That means
agree with everything they say or you are going to Hell.
Also not true.
I have had several RECENT disagreement with Chuck (notably when he
suggested that he attends an "AoG" church, which I understand is
"pentecostal." I could not agree any less with pentecostal teaching,
and I told him that.
There are times I agree with Chuck. If I don't then I'm stupid or a
moron.
|
Ok. More on that. "Excellent observation." I tend to be VERY blunt.
That has been discussed to exhaustion. If yo don't know, I am bi-polar
("the secret is out") < being sarcastic.
If I comment at all, (if I disagree) it's very likely to come across
like I'm swinging a baseball bat.
Sorry, but that's me.
I do not mean to suggest that you are ALWAYS, no matter the topic,
no matter the time of day, ALWAYS a drooling idiot.
I mean to say, "On this topic, today, at this moment, """ Good
GRIEF!, MATT!!!!!"
Kindly take it as a Local, Specific reference to the topic at hand,
and not a universal declaration.
If you missed it, Chuck and I had words TODAY and they were not
nice words.
Vera and I have RECENTLY had words.
I don't play favorites.
And as I told someone yesterday (the day before?), someone I had just
told off a day or two earlier, and then was nice to the next day.
They said something like, "John, make up your mind! Yesterday, I was
a drooling idiot; today, I'm "ok." Which is it, John?"
I said, "Yesterday, I had a point to make; I made it (their comment
proved that)
Then it was bedtime (literally). I got up, it was a NEW DAY.
They did / said something I liked THAT day (we'll say yesterday).
For the comments they made that I AGREED with, I said so.
Don't get confused that my behavior on Wednesday is going to reflect
my behavior on Tuesday.
I try to "sweep the floor clean" each evening, and start the next day
fresh, with a clean floor.
If you choose to throw 5 pounds of dirt on my floor that day, then
we have a new ball game.
Does that make sense? Jesus called it "forgiveness." And He said we
are to constantly be about "forgiveness."
He was asked, "Oh, Lord! Do I forgive 7 times?" Jesus said, "EEEEE!
You are to forgive 70 X 7."
So why is it, every time I forgive XXX < person on Monday after they
were a jerk on Tuesday, I'm called "two-faced?" I "can't make up my
mind?"
I'm struggling (yes, it's a struggle) to be obedient-- as I
understand it.

I don't actually know much about AoG or pentecostals. I was a
Southern Baptist most my life.

^ ^ ^ ???? I was Southern Baptist the first half of my life!
Mom was a preacher's kid! Granddad was a Southern Baptist ordained
pastor!

I no longer belong to any one Church
| Quote: | but go to many and try to see what they are about normally with
friends. Drove about 100 miles to a town called Marysville last
sunday. It was a smaller Baptist Church very nice.
I should make a point of visiting one sometime.
Nor do I always agree with Vera.
Who does.

Reading over this post, something I frequently do NOT do with you
(for reasons we've discussed)
I think -- like MANY-- you fall into this pit: You read A and you
read F, and you "fill in with B, C, D, and E."
Don't "fill in." Don't make assumptions.
You make a LOT of assumptions (as do many, as do I)
Do what Paul taught in 1 Cor 13.
Assume the BEST, not the WORST.
Believe the BEST, not the worst.
If someone is calling Bob Wilson (invented person) a little piece of
what we scrape off our shoe (or worse, they say "shit") don't jump in
with your 2 centavos, unless-- at that very moment-- you know
PERSONALLY that what's been said is "arrow straight" and "plumb bob
true."
You haev numerous times commented with me, "John, I think what
everyone in arcb says about you is true. You're ____________."
Bear in mind, what 99.999999999 % of these losers think or say is not
even in my vocabulary.
Think for yourself; don't let the wrong crowd "suck you in."
There's a story about Abe Lincoln (one of my few real heroes).
He held a cabinet meeting. Some 20 to 30 of the most powerful, most
influential man and women in the world were sitting at his desk.
But he was President, and they were advisers.
He let them talk and talk and talk. Each had his say.
When it was all discussed, he called for a vote.
However many men were there-- let's say 25-- every single one voted
in one block. "No!"
Lincoln listened, then voted. "I vote Yes." Then he said, "The Yes
vote" (his) carries."
For all the rhetoric (is this making sense?), the only vote that
mattered, was his.
Don't be afraid to stand against the mob. RARELY is the mob "right."
| Quote: |
Vera says
she is the "Right hand of God"
I've never heard or read her saying that. If she has said that,
that's a comment I STRONGLY disagree with.
Well she has said so.
You might want to stop and consider the SOURCE, Matt. Vera may be a
born again Christian (I don't know if you are even NOW). But she has
mental and emotional issues; in that regard, so do you.
I am a Christian As for having mental and emotional issues, don't
think so but it is hard to judge yourself.
|
^ ^ ^ ^You've said something important.
As for your declaration, I'm going to assume you are "born again."
If you say it's so, I have no choice but believe you, until you
act/say otherwise.
The important thing you said was "It's hard to judge yourself' (your
own mental health). How true. That's what "psych evals" are for. I've
had many. Had one very recently.
When you find you are wobbling, and you need the support of 1 or 2
or 5 or 20 or 50 others so you "don't feel so conspicuous", you are
suffering ego weakness. You find yourself "insufficient." Adults
should feel "complete", "self-contained" (you don't need anyone's
approval), self-confident. The only "strong arm" we should need to
shout for is God's.
Wisdom: When you don't know, "find out." In the meantime (until you
KNOW), it's wise to withhold judgment or comment.
When YOU get angry, you grab the nearest chunk of rhetoric that you
think will "make a dent." "Since everyone ELSE in the group
thinks....."
Don't do that. Think for yourself.

I call for a "fresh start."
