Can any one tell me and/or point me a text that explains how a Hylic,
Psychic and Pneumatic knows subjectively what class of folks s/he
belongs to. Also, who identifies which class each individual belongs
to "objectively"?

I don't of any text which gives any guide , but if I may offer
something.
A hylic can be identified by his complete ignorance of the fact that
the human race is divided into three classes spiritually speaking &
his lack of concern thereon.
A psychic can be identified by his insistence that he belongs
to the pneumatic class.
A pneumatic; one who can't be included in the two previous
classes

Read the Tripartite Tractate. Keep in mind, that we contain all these
qualities within us, it is a matter of singularity - which is unity - the
monad, the pleroma, what it is to be self begotten or self generated and
born again.
Jesus said: "Blessed is the man who has known these things. He has brought
heaven down, he has lifted the earth and has sent it to heaven, and he has
become the Midst for it is nothing."
We stand in the center in between the heaven and the earth and it is up to
us to unite this division. When you know yourselves, you will be known - per
gospel of Thomas.
