More evidence that you don't read with much comprehension, but why
would you be a *technical writer* for " a very MINOR release"?
^ ^ ^ ^ I didn't see this ^ ^ ^ ^"gem" until I reviewed this note.
Good grief! How can you be this STUPID and know how to BREATHE?
I said I have worked with DOS 6.01. I said I have owned it and had
it on my personal computer at home. (typically, I took my work/writing
HOME), so my home PC had to be compatible with the PC at work.
I am HOPING that makes sense, but with YOU, I don't assume.
I NEVER even SUGGESTED that I "documented" DOS 6.01. NEVER.
That you ASSUMED that is not my fault.
Good grief!
|
"And I worked on DOS 6.01".
You don't seem to be able to remember all your claims.
<snip>>
| Quote: | I never said-- never SUGGESTED-- that I was ever involved with
DOCUMENTING DOS 6.01.
I said "I used it at work, and (as I explained above), I used it at
home."
If it makes ANY sense to you (and a lot of rational, reasonable
things DON'T), if a "new release" came out of any software/OS we were
WORKING WITH, we needed to keep our work machines "current."
YOu don't work with the leading edge I worked with (stuff I am not
even at liberty to discuss with an ex- Green Beret like yourself)
without using "state of the art" computers.
I was documenting defense systems, and I was documenting very early
attempts at building "Microsoft Windows" BEFORE it was owned by
Microsoft, or even by Apple.
So you were working on MICROSOFT WINDOWS before Apple or Microsoft "owned" |
it.
Park it John, that's stupid even by the standards we use to judge you.
| Quote: | In all those "leading edge" apps (one was Boeing Aerospace; another
was Boeing/NASA's Space Station)
we used leading edge equipment, including DOS 6.01 when it was
released.
No, I have not documented any OSs that I recall. Well, there was the
PRIME I worked on. I programmed and wrote the online Menu system for
a PRIME computer.
|
Ah, now you are a programmer. Was it Wirth the effort?
| Quote: |
I also worked on/co-authored, edited, and "bug-fixed" a VAX computer
at Sundstrandt, which became GE DOD systems. (or some such)
I've never documented DOS.
|
But you said you did.
| Quote: |
I've never said I did.
And I worked on DOS 6.01".
Bug release information is usually one line, written by the person
who fixed it and frequently obscure.
Not being a programmer, I have never worked on documenting or
finding bug fixes.
|
So you were a programmer above and you aren't one now.
| Quote: |
It WOULD help if you actually READ and ABSORBED and comprehended
what is said and you didn't ASSUME so damn much.
|
It's so hard when you say "I am" (I programmed and wrote )in one line and
"I'm not"( Not being a programmer) in another.
I mean if you can't keep up with your story, how can we?

Ah, yes. Still, the Schipperke has positive characteristics that are
so *unlike* JW, that I still don't think the comparison works. For
instance, the Schipperke:
Is one of the most dynamic, intense, and curious of all breeds
Is quick-moving and agile and thrives on athletic activites and
interactive games
Makes an extremely keen watchdog
Is hardy, healthy
Now here are some traits of the Schipperke that *do* fit JW:
Destructiveness when bored or left alone too much
Suspiciousness toward strangers
Aggression toward other animals -- strong chasing instincts
Escape attempts and running away
Strong-willed mind of his own, requiring a confident owner who can
take charge
Lots of barking
Shedding
Slowness to housebreak
(I swear, I didn't make any of that up ;-)
So, as you can see, it's kind of a toss-up. While JW doesn't posess
any of the positive characteristics of the breed, he does possess the
negative traits. Then again, he doesn't possess the positive traits
of a human either, but definitely possesses the negatvie traits of
humankind. So, the only conclusion one can make is...
...better off to have a non-housetrained, tail-less Schipperke in your
home than JW.
;-) |
