I've but some crude subliminals on the Ormswald front page.
Anyone spot them? (They are easy to see if you are told where to look).

My previous two replies to this haven't shown up. Google seems to be
having problems.
I'm not good at this sort of thing, but didn't see it. I do, however
have a sudden urge to send you money.

All your own idea - but a good one.
It's just a test really to see if anyone can see it 'accidentally'.
I'll post the answer tomorrow, and then (if your monitor is reasonable) you will
see it.
However, I'm not sure it will show up on LCD monitors if they don't have good
contrast. It would be useful feedback if people tell me whether they see it on
their screens after I point it out.

No.
It's not obvious, and people I have shown it to have only seen it when I pointed
it out.

Your background image contains the word "Odin" in very faint letters.
The anti-glare coating on my monitor is wearing off, so at first I
though it was the shiny spots. A closer examination revealed the words.

Good.
However, did you recognise it consciously without prompting?

======================================= MODERATOR'S COMMENT:
srp is a moderated newsgroup: articles frequently have to wait for someone to read them. Hence, the slowness mentioned in a previous post. -Baird |

I went looking for something in the photograph first -- because you
mentioned it. Then I noticed something odd about the background.

It's the word ODIN as a wallpaper, just barely darker than the rest of
the white background. |

Right.
If you know it's there it's relatively easy to see.
It is best viewed by using the scroll bar to move the image up and down.
Otherwise it might be mistaken for a slightly dusty screen.

You do? Hmm. All I'm getting is a feeling to trust the Corps. The Corps
is Mother, the Corps is Father. |

I did not. In my case, I found the mottled background
pleasant but I did not see the word until prompted. |
