is the tao god?

what do you mean by tao?
what does your definition of tao mean to me?
and after you explain it, what does it mean to the tao that ran away
from our dangerous acrobatic tricks
with no net to protect the tao from our dangerous balancing act
between practical and practically impractical

is the tao god?

Whatever you worship is god.

what do you mean by tao?

The way stuff happens.

what does your definition of tao mean to me?

Whatever you like.

The tao that can be spoken is not the eternal tao.

Here you demonstrate the main problem people have with the deliberate
induction of transcendent experiences. They stop to admire themselves doing
it and that short-circuits the whole thing.

I was counting on tao (to do the trick)
But tao cannot be counted (on)
I ruled out tao
But tao cannot be ruled (out)
As a matter of fact
Nothing comes out of tao
Because tao does not contain anything
I spoke about tao
But tao cannot be spoken about
So these words about tao
Prove to be true and untrue.

The tao is a closer conceptualization than the usual "picture"
of God most people have. It seema hard for people to drop the
anthropomorphizing of this tremendous field in which we exist.

Compared to what?

Atta boy.  Keep making noise.  It'll help distract you from the awful
silence that lurks just beyond your voice.  For a while, at least.

You need no distraction from the silence that lurks.
Just try to listen to it attentively for any length of time.
Maybe the path to the silence is through the noise.

Melty has a problem with quantities. He thinks they apply to everything.

BTW, Melty, don't let Harlan Ellison catch you quoting him without
attribution or he'll kick your ass.

you would analzye a chocolate volcano in the middle of a flying island
made of cheese without ever appreciating the chocolate volcano and the
flying island of cheese, cause they would be secondary to their
characteristics. It's an unnappreciative nature Tom.

Tao does not run, it endures; when everything else has run after or
run away from, when everything has been heaped too high or scraped too
raw, Tao is the direction healing takes.
