"These Christians might want to review the list of outstanding people of
faith
in Hebrews 11, a list which includes such moral deviates as Noah, Abraham,
Jacob, Rahab, Samson and David."

Shame on anyone who uses the Old Testament people of faith for an
excuse for his presumptuous sins. Shame on anyone who stoops to use
Peter's sin, when he denied Christ three times, as an excuse for his
willful disobedience to the Commandments of God!

No one who lived before the resurrection of Christ had the indwelling
Holy Spirit --or were born-again. Nor had they received the Spirit of
Christ, which is the promise of the Father.

Peter had faith, but was not born-again*, when he denied Christ three
times.

BECAUSE THE HOLY GHOST HAD NOT YET BEEN GIVEN --just as Jesus said:

"He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly
shall flow rivers of living water. (But this spake he of the Spirit,
which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was
not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)" John
7:38-39.

Peter lied before Christ's crucifixion. It was after the
resurrection, that he received the Holy Ghost. We read:

"Then said Jesus to them [the disciples] again, Peace be unto you: as
my Father hath sent me, even so send I you. And when he had said
this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy
Ghost:" John 20:21-22

If you are still committing sin, you are not born-again --no matter
what spiritual experience you may have had --or what your teachers
have taught you. You must stop making excuses, turn from your sins
and cry out to God for His Spirit that will empower you to overcome
sin.

RE: Your subject title: To those who are overly judgmental...

Would you by any chance be referring to people who are critical of
your wishy-washiness?

Or are you referring to something else?

Regarding your wishy-washiness and those who are critical of you,
Jesus said "be hot or cold! Don't be lukewarm!"

If you are going to be "inclusive," fine. I believe Jesus was
inclusive.

But there must be lines drawn, or we'll get to Heaven ( I assume you
believe in Heaven/I'm guessing you don't believe in a literal Hell)
we'll get to Heaven, and we'll be greeted by this guy in a red
jumpsuit with a cap that has horns on the top.

Would you include Adolph Hitler in this Heaven you're hoping to go
to? Do you hope to get to Heaven and find Adolph made it after all?

Who would NOT get into the Heaven you believe in?

I'm truly curious.

Really, we all should be looking in that mirror all the time.
Hopefully we like what we see. I think Dave has come a long way in
the short time I've seen him post. He's passionate about what he
believes and I find nothing wrong with that... were all passionate
about believing were right... don't you think?

Beliefs have the power to create and the power to destroy. Human
beings have the awesome ability to take any experience of their lives
and create a meaning that disempowers them or one that can literally
save their lives.
