The traditional gospel is trust
in Christ alone for salvation
(not in efforts, church, etc.).
But popular invitations for salvation
are often to surrender or
to make a personal commitment.
The Protestant movement began
thru the traditional gospel;
that gospel is still presented
by some churches
though often either mixed with
(and so obscured)
or alternated with
the popular invitation.
The basis of the traditional gospel
is reckoning the righteousness of Christ
rather than our efforts (surrender, etc.)
to be our righteousness for salvation.
Since the gospel does not change,
the traditional gospel remains
the only correct gospel.
